All This Rain(1), by Dark Neko
|
I like rain
The sound of it
The chaotic patters
Static
The TV that life is
All those shows that no one watches
Cables and satellites
Variety taken for granted
Until the day the FBI shows up
And all the colors of life
Illegal
It’s all luck of the draw
Outside, inside, or in the basement
Reception of life
All the emotions
Frequencies, amplitudes, modulations
But what’s my point really
All those shows that were never watched
Everything is black and white
Static
The blue screen of death
The sparkly grey of denial
It’s raining
Today
The antenna’s broken
TV in the basement
But what’s there to see really
All the struggle
The acting for audiences that never attend
His show
Her show
Your show
The reality that no one really cares about
I like trees
Not because of its majesty
Or of its strength, hardness
Because of its silence
Its lack of motion
The resignation
To an environment
To life when it shines
Or when it rains
I wished it’d rain more often
Walking in the rain
Acting a tree
Not I
Let the drench, the cold
Seep through my veins
Across shivers
Spasms unfelt
Not the bark, but the trunk
The rings, the core
I love the static
Ecstasy of the monotone
The acceptance to fate
There’s only one road to walk
The same we walk everyday
Only one show to watch
How could I resist
When there’s been no alternative
When everything left proving me human
Is this viscous dark
This dense stagnation
Simply broken
Only sad
A little
I’ll be ok
Hopefully

Well done... it has a lot of good points all encompassed in one poem. |
