Death Is Just Another Step, by Poet Gal Subscribe to rss feed for Poet Gal

You say you're frightened of dying,
Because it will end when you die,
So i speak words of comfort and tell you,
'Death is just another step;

You won't believe me,
You act stubborn as you always have,
All you keep on saying is that you are frightened of death,
Because everything you've done vanishes.

I ask you,
'If everything vanishes when you die,
Why is the world still here?'
You won't answer.

I then tell you,
'If everything vanishes when you die,
Then we shouldn't be here today,
For millions of peo[le have died before us.'

But still you won't listen,
And i know why,
I can tell for your skin is white,
I can't see your chest moving, even a little bit.

I cry to myslef,
'If i didn't tell him that death was just another step,
This might not have happened,
For i forgot to tell him that it is another step for the
living.
