you can almost taste the smell
the stench of your mistakes
tarnishing the image of
something great
you swore you would always
hold to your name.
after you're done with
things will never be the same.
your judgement day is here.
you've never been in the clear
just because you don't believe
doesn't give you a special reprieve.
everyone you meet
picks you apart
delivers a mental beat.
everything you do
you haven't got a clue the effect
it has on your image
in the minds of all the people
you've met.
it might not be a bet to win
and just because
we don't witness and count
every sin
doesn't make them matter less.
