Questioning Myself, by Lovesick and Sick of It
|
Confusion
Utter confusion
How you’ve swept me off my feet
Wisked me up into the air
And dropped me
And I fell
Tumbling, story after story
Until I found the ground
Hit it with a THUD
Picked up the pieces of my mind
And started writing
About Love
And how it played with me
And how I though I was absorbed in it
But now I don’t believe myself when
I say
“I Love You”
For there is another
Who’s not funnier than you
Who’s not cuter than you
Who’s not better than you in any way
But he’s there
And I like him now
This is not good bye, my love(?)
It is merly me
Sorting myself out
Getting my head straight
But I leave you with this:
Maybe if you smiled with me
Talked with me
Spent time with me
More
I wouldn’t have written this poem
