Walls, by Catriana
|
These walls
Surrounding and Crushing
With thier faded yellow paper
Rotted and crumbling
Like my life
An enclosure
Of an empty shell
Husk of what was once there
Brittle and dry
In fear of falling
These Windows
Broken and Dirty
Shattered
Both inside and out
Much like me
The Doorway
An opening
To the outside world
Now forgotten by time
In fear of closing forever
This room
Full of things
Cluttered and dusty
That don't really matter
Like my pain
A barren landscape
Void of life
Mirror of the soul
That lies within
In fear of dying |
