I'm trying, go away, by Rachel
|
I'm doing my best
That's the best i can do
So where in the book
Did it say i'm doing this for you?
I'm trying to ignore the urges
In my little teenage head
To play the stupid nice girl
And remain all night in bed
What i want hangs like a mantra
Of a ticket of escape
One day i will get out of here
And run right into fame
I will publish my first story
Before i hit eighteen
I will be the one everyone remembers
Because i was the one who WASN'T mean
I dream of being the legacy
That someday i'll leave behind
So that one day i'll be the topic
That someone needs to find
But for now i'm just a daddy's girl
Plain for anyone to see
Although my chains are breaking
I'd pay good money to be free
So before you try to judge me
for being too damned straight
Just help me get the heck out of here
Before it's too damned late. :P
