Diamond, by Danielle Lewis

Material object,
smuther my greed,
open my eyes to the diamonds,
no glitz, no fame, no jewels,
only the discreet,
simplicity of the moon....
Its vast complexity
cast light shadows over my thoughts,
Vexing thouroughly like twine,
Someone's watching, waiting, holding a breath,
Watching the diamond sky.

The flow of this poem is very good. I love the way the words project an image in my mind, of that diamond sky you speak of...Excellent |
