Wintery Christmas Day

By Austin Hoehn

Snow falls, blows, in white eddies across the street, people are baried in sweaters, coats, and gloves, joyfully humming songs of joy, peace and love. children shed their wet clothes and boots after playing on the slippery frozen pond, then quickly scurry home to get out of the cold, to receive hugs and kisses like they were getting presents at chistmas. the season where people dream about white Christmases with fluffy snow that falls softly to the ground. as children throw round snowballs and families play and sing songs around the piano about babies gently born in mangers, and of a star so bright, that led shepherds, all on one holy night. all to awake quietly to see that Jake has left frost upon your window that night. when the children wake, rubbing their little eyes, and see the brightly lit tree, their eyes get so bright and shine with a million stars with delight to see, all the presents tightly wrapped and tucked under the tree, when they run to the door to greet their family that came from far to gather with wishes, dreams and hopes for the coming new year then the children go to frolic and play with all of their new treasures they received at this time of year, on this wintery Christmas day
