the lover has departed, by turquoise petals
|
once when they were children they watched the sky
it whispered and sang for their small ears and eyes
but their limbs began to grow
eyes losing the shimmer of innocence
the sky turned ghostly pale in her tears
a silk canvas of smudges and cuts
he watched from the shadow of the trees for hope of her
exsistence
but the tears were clear instead of salty
leaving only red in her wake |
