Its just one of those days in one of those lives, you know Where the paint is chipping and the plants won’t grow As a matter of fact they’re looking dull and brittle And Selsda’s still waiting for her jimmy riddle, oh But then I looked out far and there were more than just stars Oh, oh Aurora came to visit me today She said, “Nikki come a little closer There’s something I’ve got to say”… oh Grew up in one of those Christian homes, you know Where God is grand and Jesus is my bro See, I’m cool with that to an extent I’ll keep my mouth shut if it pays the rent I’m as atheist as can be That doesn’t tell you much about me Or that I hate to take but I love givin; But I’m tired of this goddam livin’ Did you get the pun? Life hit me all over again in the sky after the sun… In the sky after the sun And she said… “Nikki, I’m beautiful its not just the pretty colors and the glitter on my arms I’m free, I change, I dance, I wave Undulating through life; I take it how it comes I can fade, I glide, cover the sky Disappear, return, and that’s the beauty Living here is just my duty… Till I die So Aurora came to visit me today She grabbed me by the hand threw me Into the stars and felt the beauty Aurora came to visit me today She said, “Nikki, come a little closer Come on out and play”… 2003
