Ironic Epiphany, by Sandwich Massacre
|
The conundrum’s in the air, wandering if life is fair
Was this all meant to be, or does some power hate me?
And satellites of gold peering on me
Watching and waiting
Manipulating
Destroying my serenity
Chorus:
And I’d do anything just to be held in your arms
Life is like an ironic waterfall
And I’d give anything to be just the one for you
Indulge in the wine and sweet simplicity
Indulge in forward steps from some sweet epiphany
Not me, not me
Burning on the ground, thundering in the sky
Clouds have all rolled in, lightning hits my heart
Everything around me will tease me
Watching and waiting
It won’t start raining
Revealing arid reality
Chorus
Deep like the ocean came tsunamis to the shore
What once was opened came every slam to every door
It defied my optimism and all that I believed in
It destroyed my intuition, leaving damned belligerent din
This place could be one under immaculate
Transportation left me in a tundra desolate
I think this place is given too much credit
Its not that I am suicidal, I just want to die
Chorus
Fall deep in life’s abyss, exiled from life’s bliss
No embrace and no kiss, forget all I’ll miss
And forget what love is
Chorus
And I’d do anything just to be held in your arms
Life was never meant for someone like me
I’d give anything to be just the one for you
Nothing to indulge, no sweet simplicity
Tired of looking back on what could be
Life was never meant for someone like me
Not me…not me
