I dreamt a dream that came to life
A force so shocking as a knife
Piercing within a tingling charge
Like 10-foot waves under a speeding barge
I’m in the air, fall to the sea
My stomach tries to stay with me
A mollified rage through this hand
Running my fingers through electric sand
Oh how I ran…
A field of feathers like snow-capped hills
Like ribbons tide to tall windmills
An intrinsic freedom within his bound
Reality caught in a realm confound
Pinch this arm wakes from a reverie
To reveal something as massive as infinity
And yet so unfeigned but not yet grown
Into what life has primordially sewn
Oh how I’ve known…
But did deny the beating same
We danced in a silent lover’s game
To find ourselves wrapped in a shroud
Did our kinetics scream so loud
A breath-taking speechless chaos in calm
But embrace the slow growth of a palm
To let what I’ve known take its time
And marvel in the truth of this followed line
Oh how you’re mine.
