oh troubled child trust in thee
but how can you trust what you can not see
a troubled heart has lost its love
in Jesus and our God above
a bible that lies unloved and unopened
with versus he has never spoken
John and Peter he does not hear
but it is Jesus for whom he holds the most fear
for right and wrong are what He preaches
asking us to go to our farthest reaches
He gave us his son so we could live
and all He asks is our hearts to give
love in his heart for something he can not see
his faith is locked and we need Jesus to hold the key
