{Part Two}Car Boot Sale, by . QUEENIE .
|
and as you meander
through the rows
you look in
each boot
and check
the products in
the sale.
you aren't looking
for anything
special
or unique.
you aren't shopping
for a gift
or a item
you want for your home.
you are meandering through
the junk
that has been deemed
too valuable
for the trash.
and like yourself
who you could not pitch
they lay
in car boots
or eternity
serving no purpose.
like a hang time,
before the end...
holding on to nothing.
and then
it catches your eye.
there is that
tea pot
from the jumble sale
7 monthes ago.
still perfect
still ugly
you take her as a sign.
and you pay the five
pence she costs.
wrap her in your jacket
and walk her home.
xoxo

I sense hidden meaning and messages but perhaps my brains is in some kind of turmoil..so decoding is difficuly right now...or am I just simply complicating things..??? Anyway, looking forward to the next part.. |

second chances... i dont know, i stil lthink the tea pot was mewant as a person.... but the fact that you'
re still looking for it, you ccame back knowing you walked away rfom something good and you're sorry, you'd do anything.. i dont remeber. its a shame really, and half the time i know what meaning i wrote them with, is lost, they take on new meanings as i grow older it seems... but i like that. poetry shuld be for everyoner, not just the author. |

Agree with you..!! Meanings should change over time..and you are a master in that..!! |
