Best Friend Gone..., by Kalie
|
Gone away
To another place
New tastes
New people
New faces
Smooth going
After a rocky road
Tears held back
From long time friends
As the car drives
To your new home
New places to wander to
New people to go with
but the old are never forgotten
They stay in that special
Place of the heart,
Tucked away with old memories of
Bowling alleys,
Video games and cheesy DVD's
Of going to the pool,
Cuddling and flirting.
Memories of that
First kiss in the snow,
The last in the garage
Memories of the best
Bus ride
Memories of Florida
And no limits.
Memories of dancing
And relationships gone sour
Memories of late night talks
About nothing but everything
Surrounded by things
That are reminders of
The best years of your life
But of the girl
Sitting at home
Hoping to be spoken to
Giving advice and listening
As your heart breaks,
Telling you everything
Will be alright.
Strange how those
Two o'clock conversations
Haven't changed
Only the has.
The 'I miss you' is
More frequent,
More eral
As she remembers
All the awesome times
They shared.
Her best friend gone. |

I know what this is like... my best friend moved to Chicago. Well done, it explains your emotions well. |
