Fathers and Daughter, by Kendall
|
A father daughter relationship
is unique within itself.
A closeness shared between the two
is different than any else.
The bond they have is special
so nothing else compares.
A bond so strong built from love
though tested through the years.
She'll always be his baby girl
not wanting her to age.
He'll always be her superman
perfect in everyway.
As she grows to be a teen she'll
notice all the boys.
This the time he'd hoped to miss
and isn't looking toward.
He watches her as years pass by
a woman she is now.
Her own life they must embrace
yet neither is sure how.
She ventures out to live her life
he sadly watches her go.
She tries real hard not running to him
whenever things go wrong.
Their love and trust they hold onto
carries them through the days.
Proving that the bond they share
will always find its way.
