a lunatic
i am a lunatic for you
a lunatic i'd be
as the night sky's blue
for in the moon i see your smiles
i see your laughter in the skies
and when i look and the moon's not there
i sense in my soul a deep despair
for the moon's not just a moon
but a symbol of what's been
a love once there but was never seen
and like the moon that comes and goes
the love we had we will never know
