Inside her, by Debz ~~ lost amoungst the pages of a story yet to be told ~~
|
Hidden within her
is a young girl wanting to be free
so innocent and true
unlike the frustrated woman that preside in front,
and holds her memories so close.
The photographs, she studies alone.
wishing she had done nothing wrong,
wanting to go back yet striving to move forward.
constantly fighting the words never said.
Is running away the answer?
to solve these constant reminders of them.
She cant escape its all in her head,
she carries it with her,
nightmares, asleep in bed.
She swears at it all, unlike her to do this.
an image of hurt so skinny and weak,
then look in the mirror and is shocked by the sight,
of a fat girl so bubbly and rosy and bright.
the tears reform just looking at that.
Why cant she change to what is inside,
hidden beneath all the hurt and the lies.
Shes crying i feel her, shes all alone.
with photographs and memories,
of all that has gone. |

there's so much that can be said about this, and yet i find myself almost speechless.... it's amazing how you can write about the things that most people can't even begin to put into words.... your poem was so incredible.... |
