she wished she didnt doubt
the existance of those
held true
she wished that she 
could believe
could believe in you.

but there she lays
alone and broken
her sobs shift the still night
and yet still
no one brings her any
light.

she paws across
the dew soaked grass
she pulls herself up
and with a gasp
looks towards your house
and sees on the lights

she holds her breath
do you know she is out there?
did you sense her on your lawn.

no, embrace
the silouhettes 
slowly take shape
through tear blurred vision
she turns her head in shame
and stands up
weak.

she cries as she stumbles
through the old corn feilds
across the baren lands
the snow begins to fall
she doesn't seem to notice
the only things she sees
is you. she wants
nothing more than to just
hold you.

she finds herself at a stream
where she sits and 
gazes upon her own pale face.
wipe your tears
you foolish girl
he doesnt know your name.

across teh water
she meets the eyes of no stranger
he wanders over
and holds her close.
her heartbeat slows
and her sobbing ceases.

if only she knew
his secret deep inside.
if only she knew
how he watches as she cried.

he follows her with hopes
that someday she'll turn and see
just how much she really means
to him and to me.
but she would rather
chase an empty goal.

she's always falling 
inlove with strangers
people who she
doesnt even know.

right here is someone
who she knows through and through
and whose love for her
always ran true...
and he holds 
her while she cries.
inside he silently dies.

he tried to tell her
but she didn't listen.
still she did as always
and she led him on
he knows she doesn't want
him, she doesnt
care at all
but he cant help but hope
someday she'll notice.

the same as she
feels for him
he guesses.
that if she waits by his side
long enough
someday,
he'll turn to her and say
the words she always wanted.

but he can't
and he never will
say the words
you want to hear.
