Longing, by Kar
|
There's a blanket on my window
A lone sunbeam is leaking through
The colour is washed out and dull
Although the day is new
The sun still slowly rises
School's approaching fast
Another day's upon me
It's time to leave at last
Traffic is loud and sudden
Almost more than I can take
I try to drown out the sound
My ears seem to shake
Everything is different
Hugs are suffocating with deceit
Loneliness is coming back to me
And it's something I can't cheat
Food is cold and tasteless
Voices blend and fade out
Avoiding people constantly
Every day is a new route
You won't ever hear of this
You will never know
How my heart clings to you
How it refuses to let go
