I’ve known you for years
We were school peers
You always helped me get by
But I never got to say good-bye
I’m shedding tears and it appears
It’s me alone to face my fears
AS I stare at the sky and ask why
A young kid like you had to die
None of us saw the car coming
Ignorant to what was forthcoming
Your little body couldn’t take it
You would never go to the gym, try get fit
Still, I could never blame you
But if my mate died its you I’d be talking to
I wonder if Gods heard of me
If he aint then, tell him bout me
You’re the same age as me
Ask why he chose to take you before me
The driver wasn’t caught by the police
Still though, rest in peace

Thats sweet, Ive never had someone close to me die, I know people who've had friends die, and I've had some friends come close to it. I like the style you write in. |
