*Domestic Violence* (4)

By *****Junior Walker*****

Who knows what domestic violence is? What are you used to at 4 in the morning? Silence? Not screaming? Picture thinking with each blow You just heard your mother’s death Then a scream comforts you Knowing she breathes another breath I hope every reader knows This is the realest poem I ever wrote Its just a shame It’s about my mother being grabbed by the throat Who knows what it means to write poetry With eyes closed, tears blurring the writing Being raised in insanity It’s so hard to deal with everything The son of this is bound to be a fuck up My childhood years Trying to be a man Holding back tears What could hell have For me to be afraid of I’ve seen everything in life Except Love I pray to Black Jesus Knowing my father ain’t the problem My mother forces it So how could I blame him? This poem is for anyone Who will never be the same again Because of something Nothing to do with them

this is a very touching poem! Oh you are soooooooo good at writing poetry. I know you write from your heart for I can feel it so true.God Bless you ! I wish no one ever had to feel the demonic chains of domestic violence! God how I wish that could be,I only can do my part and that is to stop it anywhere i see it and pray for all connected in it. But wow! someday everyone who suffers, will be blessed with healing ,salvation, and restitution. your Poem is really powerful! keep writing!!! God Bless you!

I'm sorry for the place in your heart this comes from.

I was immediately drawn to this particular poem by the title. It's true. Violence is there. And needs to be dealt with. We souldn't have to be put through these things. My heart goes out to you and I am glad you foung a healthy way to express yourself and that it also can be used as a notice, to everyone.

I know how you feel with this one. Its crazy to listen or see things that. but not everyone has to be product of thier environment.
