Lost to Us

By bedazzled •
On your cheeks,
Lonely tears glisten,
In your mind,
Indigo thoughts sparkle,
Within your heart,
Floral hopes wither,
As loss infiltrates,
Your soul spills with love,
And flows from your eyes,
Only time can heal,
"Rest in peace."

This poem, Fade Away and We'll Remember, is dedicated to my late great-grandma. A loving, humorous and sharp-witted woman who lived independently to the age of 98 before moving into a rest-home. I shall not remember her as the way she appeared when I last saw her aged 99 (almost 100), I shall remember her from the photo of the radiantly beautiful 21 year old. I love you greatone, I know you are watching and I will always remember you. ~*O*~
