Sunday Morning, by Don't build lies on ice cubes.
|
I'm slowly stirring from my sleep
Leaving the dreams of you behind
The thoughts of us for always
They dance across my mind
And slowly I feel your warmth
For it protects me as I sleep
I turn my face to watch you
As you dream in a slumber deep
My eyes are tracing your outline
And you feel each move they make
Slowly your eyes flit open
As from your dream you wake
And I smile as I greet the morning
Then mould closer into you
The sun shines out across us
Highlighting a love thats true
And aimlessly you stroke my hair
Then I kiss your lips so raw
You meet my kiss with gentleness
Increasing passion as we yearn for more
Seconds turn to hours
And I forget this moment has to end
Time is an impending burden
Yet not something I wish to comprehend
For in my memory each morning's a lifetime
Nothing compares with waking next to love
For through sleep the stars watch over
And then the sun shall rise above
And to start each day with you
Leaves a glow I know shall stay
Then come the night I will fall next to you
As we embrace another day
And to see you face every time I wake
To see it warmed as the sun is dawning
A private moment thats shared with you
It's the perfect sunday morning

you have written a very sweet and sensual poem for your beloved...if only lovers did that in real life...lovers wood have no genuine strife... |
