Crash, by bedazzled
|
I tried my very best and worked my arse off all year,
Just to face the point-blank truth as I sat in tears,
There's nothing worse than the realisation of a life torn at
the seams,
Nothing worse than seeing your friend achieving all YOUR
dreams,
I had to hold my composure, smile and say thank you,
While I was in despair with the anger that just grew,
I hugged everybody, waved and said good bye,
Then out of sight of everyone I began to cry,
Curled up in my bed in a cocoon of misery,
Sobbing out my pain I started healing,
"They're just words honey, don't put yourself through
strife",
Oh have you forgotten, that words are my life?! |

Wow. This. Poem. Rocks. It's so sad, yet so true, how often i feel the exact same way. Trying not to focus on what people say, yet finding that i can't help but focus on their words. Well done... well done! |
