God makes promises:
To fill us with belief,
to give us charity.
To make us his children,
and to comfort us.
To fill us with contentment,
to give us courage.
God promises us correction
to teach us Obedience.
To help us confront our enemies
when they come up against us.
God promises us eternal life 
so we can be a family.
God promises us faith in the 
faithfulness of God.
To take away our fear
when we become lonely.
He promises food and clothing
so we won't go hungry and grow cold.
God promises us forgiveness
when we fall away, if we come back.
He promises us to be fruitful as
we grow in grace.
God promises guidance 
during our time of guilt.
He promises the Holy Spirit
when we are in trouble.
God promises us honesty
when lies are all around.
He gives us hope
in this world of hopelessness.
God promises us his hospitality
when we enter the kingdom.
He gives us humility
when so many boast of themselves.
God promises us he is a jealous God
and will not share us with other gods.
He fills us with joy
when we are down.
God promises us a Long life
in the kingdom of God.
He promises to help us be meek
and patient during our time of poverty.
God promises to show pride over our prayers and
that we will not be prisoners of the evil one.
He promises us protection when we
repent of our sins.
God promises to fill us with righteousness
after our salvation.
He promises us freedom from sin.
God promises us that we will not own 
any shame living for Him.
He promises that we can lean on him
when we are sick.
And in the end of it all God Promises
us wisdom to follow him all the way home.
