Knife, by A Lonely Song
|
And we can become numb
From all of the rum
That we can consume
In all our doom
Just leave it all behind
Where it's not easy to find
Let's pretend it's not there
So we can pretend to not wear
As we walk through the thick fog
Hoping for a clog
So we won't be sucked in
With all of the sin
That each of us has made
Using it as a blade
Stabbing each other in the back
Is our plan of attack
Once, twice, three times and more
It's the only thing that's not a bore
All the melancholy in our life
Was caused by one single knife
It was passed around
As if it was a crown
To each clique
Nice and quick
Pushed in and pulled out
Without a single shout
Because we're used to it now
It's something we allow
We don't known any other way
We each fall prey
But this is not an excuse
It's our abuse
And we know it's wrong
But we all go along
We never think about it
We get hit, and we hit
But don't you ever wonder
What it'd be like without all the thunder?
All of this is rife
And was caused by one single knife
THIS IS MY FIRST POEM ON HERE. DID THE WHOLE SHORT, RUGGED
