Dead Mans Land, by Snapped
|
It’s a place drenched in death and hate,
For the inhabitants it seems much too late,
none of them can control or understand their fate.
Children stand with their hands out wide,
hoping to make contact with the other side,
and find the reason why their daddy died.
Nothing left to do but wait for the horrifying end,
too many people dead and too many to mend,
they can only pray for something to happen, a god send.
a old blind lady with skin black as coal stands, holding her
cross,
she cant stop weeping as its her whole family that’s her
loss,
she feels her grandsons grave hole as she pushs off the
decaying moss.
all the people covered in flies and insects,
hoping drugs they have been given have right effects.
They all feel the demon they suffer invades,
but no one can really cure Aids.

"Children stand with their hands out wide,

At first, I thought this was about the 9/11 tragedy or the London subway bombings.
"They all feel the demon they suffer invades,
but no one can really cure Aids."
After reading that, I relized what suffering people endure with terminal illnesses. You did a wonderful job capturing the old blind woman. I could feel her rough black skin and see her tears streaming down her face. Excellent job. |

I completely agree with Awakening Me. It's amazing. It's so sad.
Peace, Love, and Happiness.
