Outside, by XRebzX Subscribe to rss feed for XRebzX

Going outside, the trees sway back and forth
the cool breeze passes by my face
i shiver and walk on, hands in my pockets
i see cars on the road, people rushing by
with a frown on their faces
i look around, shops all around me
an empty carton, swiftly sweeping down the street
leaving it's contents trailing behind
a frail old woman at a bus stop
sobbing her heart out into an old handkerchief
mothers walking with their children
looking around, frightened with fear
wondering if somebody will snatch their children
she wants to hurry up, get out of sight
so they can be safe back at home
a young girl standing there
on the corner of a dark, long street
needing to offer her body to strangers
to feed a bad habit
a brawl outside a pub, fists flying
everyone fuelled by drink
onlookers stand there, not knowing what to do
a group of people taking drugs on the street
one lad standing there, unsure of what to do
but he wants to fit in with the rest
they'll laugh at him if he dosen't take a drug
in town, a woman decides to shoplift
she has no money to feed 4 mouths
she looks around as she slips a CD in her bag
slowly walking away, full of guilt
that cool breeze passes by my face again
i shiver and walk on, hands in my pockets....
