*The crossroads of Love* (1), by *****Junior Walker*****
|
I’m standing at the crossroads
Of love
Wondering which direction to choose,
Wishing someone would give me a shove
A little push in the right direction;
Cause I’m about to loose my mind
Thinking, contemplating, wondering
How much longer you’ll be mine.
I’m sorry babes
But I don’t trust you,
I feel nothing when you say
I love you.
Nowadays surrounded by however many people
I still feel alone,
Then I call you to make it better…
And you still haven’t picked up the phone.
And so I’m writing this
Cause I feel no love tonight;
Maybe you’ll call in the morning
And everything will be alright.
I should dump her,
I should dump her not.
Do I deserve better
Or should I hold on to what I’ve got?
Dam, looks like another sleepless night.
I know your sleeping,
I wonder
What you’re dreaming.
I wonder
If your fantasizing,
I wonder
If it’s me you’re seeing.
Dam-
Looks like another sleepless night.
Still, maybe you’ll call in the morning
And everything will be alright.

this is a great write, Your poem captures that uneasy feeling of being caught in the middle of assured or unsure position of Love.Ah Love! sometimes it hurts to be vunerable, But it's better to Love than not love at all! |
