The Crossroads, by Matthew Grode
|
In the distance I hear the world's disappointed sigh,
As I force my body to accept this suit and tie,
The days float by with no purpose or meaning,
But in my mind the walls are leaning,
Did I condition my self to accept such mediocrity,
Or did I cap size in this world of hypocrisy,
In my soul I know there is more to say,
But this life of conformity took my voice away,
Can I leave this safety and take the chance,
I'm in the ballroom but afraid to dance,
So much to gain and leave behind,
I'm at the crossroads with two dead end signs
