The Angel at the Crossroads of my Heart, by Faith

By Thoughtless Encounters

You reached out, took my hand, and lead me away from here. I searched your face for a hint as if looking in a mirror. But i found no clues in your eyes nor in the look you gave. It confused me why you should care and it washed over me like a wave. That's when you stopped, turned around, and pulled me to your heart. I could feel you breathing, I wondered what was about to start. It seemed like an eternity as you held me tight. I closed my eyes, dared not move, scared you'd vanish into the night. I feared this was all a dream that seemd to go to be true. I feared that I would awake and find nothing of you. Yet there I stayed in your arms your love enshrouding me. And only there in your embrace could I truly be set free. ©2004

I find it amazing that someone out there actually likes my poems enough to include them in a list of amazing poetry. I feel out of my league...
