The Orb, by Lunaria
|
The Orb
The orb hangs low over water dark
Swiftly, silently the fin of a shark
Circles the lone sailboat afloat on the wave
The crew gone to a watery grave
The orb is shadowy, different shades of red
Reflecting the blood of the crew now dead
The rock formation off to the side
Is wet with the incoming tide
The darkness lingers into the day
Turning into a sickening hue of grey
A clouding of fear hovers above the scene
What in the world does all this mean?
Will we ever know what happened here?
Will every detail become crystal clear?
Personally I don't think we'll ever know
The answer lies in the depths below.
