HiPHoP Poetry Pt. 1- DCC Poet’s Café- LaLa Curse
Sitting here gazing through the windowpane,
I ponder what’s the real feeling of pain?
Pain is when you can’t see that your husband is cheating.
It’s when he comes home to you drunk and you await a
beating.
Pain isn’t heartbreak or being broke.
Pain is when you depressed to the point that you smoke.
That reefer, that real weed, straight dank no bap.
While people gasping to live, in hospital beds, black roses
in their lap.
People are dying of cancer, aids and murder.
But I’m here fucking up, making mistakes, and God is
letting me live a bit further
To see that life is what you make of it, a learning
process.
So that the world keeps spinning, just make sure you
possess,
All that’s necessary to survive.
