She Stood On The Stage, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born, by Thoughtless Encounters
|
She stood on the stage,
And tried not to cry.
As she took her last bow,
With her head held high.
It had been her dream,
Her one true ambition.
A lifetime goal,
An important mission.
And now as she stood,
Choking back tears.
Biting her lip,
And bottling her fears.
The audience paused,
This - she had feared.
But to her surprise,
The audience cheered.
