Winter light does not exist it is only gloom,
It's a thin line of starkness in the dark,
Surpassed only by its need for gloom,
As it covers the abandoned park,
Dark skies mirror the anger in our hearts,
But it is only the separation,
To keep Autumn and Spring apart,
Made cold and cruel through our own desperation,
Winter is the sire of a grizzled devil man,
Always freezing gods every creature,
Always thinking up life ending plans,
Thinking as itself our teacher,
Springing darkness on us all,
Prolonging its bitter reign,
Waiting for its enemies to fall,
While trying to cause us pain,
It's a twisted and malicious fate,
Having winter fake our pleasure,
On Christmas when inside we're consumed by hate,
Watching spoiled brats smile sickly sweet at some new
treasure,
Winter is a forsaken time,
A place where bitterness is king,
It takes your emotions and makes them mine,
As it laughs coldly and gladly waits for spring. |
