Smouldering

By bedazzled •
A mournful sigh spreads it's wings,
And glides on silent air,
Beads collect upon her face,
Two hungry green eyes stare,
Impatient thoughts smoulder despite,
A heart that longs to care,
Emotions select a time to pounce,
Upon the calm that just won't share,
A tension vibrates with clarity,
When he trespasses too near,
Pain escapes from a bitten lip,
She quickly evades the tears,
Experience stomps past the line,
That marks the unjust from fair,
Life ripples through existence,
Everytime they get too near.
