Death of a Ghost, by MorbidMaiden
|
"I'm special", she said,
As the words crept from her head,
And slowly her heart bled dry.
"I'll never forget,
'Til the day I am dead",
And she knows she's a fool just to try.
Yet still she proceeds,
To the grave that she needs,
To one day soon house her soul.
"I'll never forget,
'Til the day I am dead",
She says as her eyes grow cold.
And the dead in their sleep,
Will her secrets keep,
'Til the day that the world stops turning.
Not the cold rotting earth,
Nor the people that curse,
Can keep her fire from burning.
