Fading Picture, by izzy

we sit here tonight together we fight
i know that we might make things alright
when i'm with you i can't track time
when you're gone i need you to be mine
life is empty time is slow
memories flown through the cracks of windows
a picture of you stuck in my head
yellowed by age and i tear it again
my memories serve as glue places it back together
i tear it to shreads and put it back whenever
but what then happens when i run out of glue
i imagine your face with no thought of you
i have no more glue as my hearts sinks from lead
i look at the picture that was torn to shreads
a picture of you so vibrant, now an image so drab
i should of made more of what i recently had
