Lost Love

I look at my reflection in this crystal clear water And it reminds me of the traumatizing slaughter, The one I feel deep in my heart, Like sales crashed on a chart, These feelings are extremely deep and true, If only I could find that one person to say “I love you” Maybe this hole wouldn’t be so deep, Bottomless it appears, if only control I could keep, Then I could finally sleep, At night hopefully not alone, But with someone to warm me in my home, As my deeply frozen scarred heart melts, someone opens its door and lips touch mine, From that moment everything appears to be fine, Not just fine but superb, I could lift off and fly higher than a bird, But as my imagination sees this I suddenly fall from the sky, I feel like I’m sick and going to die, As my newly warmed heart goes frozen once more I wake from my dream sweating and scream, Only to realize it was my lost love in my nightmares, But does it mean she still cares Is it my heart crying for help, Or is it a horrible message from Hell, I don’t know, but I do know my heart has yet to be restored, Who will be the one to open its door…? I think for you age you have a wonderful concept of poetry and say what you feel,which to me is what poetry is all about.If you would like a tip which was given to me it would be this.Write your poems down then leave them for a while then come back to edit if its needed.Thats all I would say .Good luck for your future.I will read all of your poems later and if you wish will say what I think of them Danny

This is a very expressive poem and the one to cure and put the pieces back together is the one who will mend your heart is the one that will always be by your side no matter what.
