Solitude Within, by Danny Wilson
|
As I walk along the beach all alone with the wind and rain.
Beating down with relentless force.
Stinging my eyes with tears wetting my cheek. Or are the
tears from the solace I seek.
Here alone with the force of the storm am I battling my self
and pretending its the norm.
Why do I always end up this way? Why do I never feel comfort
from walking the street?
It has to be here on this sandy shore, bringing my aching
heart to ride out the storm.
Is it because I can pretend the tears are not real, with
nobody to witness my humble retreat?
Sad times, even happy times, I seem to end up here, to share
and whisper there is no defeat
