You say you can't, you tell me not to push it,
Well what do I do in such a dark pit,
Let it swallow my hope? Or defeat it's fear?
Your choice is to give in,
But to me that is the worst of all sins,
Because giving up is what leads to some of the treachories
in life,
Always push forward and fight,
Until you realize the time to pull back,
Pull hard when you do or you may lose track,
Onto an important focus in life, a goal towards happiness, a
type of self-gratification,
So maybe in the end, smiles are your destination,
But when you say you can't and you look down away from my
face,
I can sense that giving up you feel is your place,
But it is nothing more than a mistake,
And a heart you will break,
If you forget, and wash out these memories,
Then what is ever to become of you and me,
Nothing, if you remain unactive and confused,
Not knowing what to do,
But I know where I belong, sort of, but one thing is for
sure,
That I am my own cure,
And as I look at my reflection in the water of my life's
cup,
I see a person, who will NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
